Welcome to Can4Cancer 2020!

Can4Cancer is a CommBank Staff Foundation community initiative with Tour de Cure that raises vital funds to support researchers working towards curing and preventing cancer. In 2019 over 4,000 joined one of the Can4Cancer events across Australia and collectively raised over $2.75 million!

We’ll be running Can4Cancer a little differently this year, as we work to adapt to the unpredictable environment caused by the coronavirus pandemic. With 1 in 3 cancers being preventable, it's especially important that we stay true to Can4Cancer’s message to be fit, be healthy and be happy through to October.

In this year’s Can4Cancer event you will be able to choose a goal (in kilometres) for any type of exercise – walking, running or riding – and you will have the entire month of October to complete your goal, alongside your colleagues (virtually).

In 2019, we completed a total of 142,400 km of walking and riding. This year, we have an ambitious goal to reach 384,400km total – that’s the distance to the Moon!

In light of the current situation, this year there is no entry fee and no required fundraising target to join in and stay active with Can4Cancer. Naturally, you are still able to fundraise and help Can4Cancer and Tour de Cure continue to make a difference and support vital cancer research projects at this time.  Any funds raised in 2020 will contribute to your fundraising goal set for our main events in May 2021.

Please view our Registration Guide and FAQs for any questions you may have.

Introducing Can4Cancer Values Recognition

Recognising Can4Cancer participants that go above and beyond through the values they display has been an important part of the Can4Cancer Ride for many years. Each year, riders have had the opportunity to nominate a teammate who consistently demonstrates one of the following values: Attitude, Focus and Inspiring Others.

This year, we’ve decided to extend the recognition program to all participants to openly recognise and thank those that are seen by their peers as role modelling the Can4Cancer values and living the purpose of Changing lives – Ending cancer.

Nominate a fellow participant here.

Those who are recognised will be announced throughout October via our various Can4Cancer communication channels.

More details can be found here.
